The Endless Game Foundation (EGF) organized this record attempt with the purpose to raise funds for charitable organizations including Operation Breakthrough, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Veteran’s Community Project, Gift of Life, C You in the Major Leagues, North Kansas City Parks Center, and the Guadalupe Center.

The official attempt started as planned on August 31 at 8:00 a.m. In total 42 umpires/referees and 35 independent witnesses participated at the event.
