Using a hand saw, Saturnino and Patxi Salbidea Martinez de Murgi (Spain) cut 14 slices off a tree trunk (35 cm (13.77 in) in diameter) each measuring 2.5 cm (0.98 in) thick in three minutes on the set of El Show de los Récords, Madrid, Spain on 18 October 2001. Each slice had to pass through a letter box once cut.
