The lowest score to par at a golf US Open was 16-under by Rory McIlroy (UK) at the 2011 US Open at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, USA, from 16-19 June 2011. McIlroy simultaneously broke the record for the lowest total score with 268 strokes in winning his first career major.
