On 25 March 2010, Albert Gonzalez (USA) was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for computer hacking. He was found guilty of masterminding a gang of cybercriminals who stole in excess of 170 million ATM, credit and debit card numbers from a number of retailers, including TJX. Gonzalez was also fined $25,000 (£16,500). TJX owns Barnes & Noble and T J Maxx among other companies.
