The programme actually began on 28 October 1939 but was only a 15 minute slot and was called Il Quarto d'ora del Girgioni italiano. The current programme broadcasts for 30 minutes from 7pm to 7.30pm. The current permanent correspondent is Alessandro Tini who incidentally made the claim for this record.
