Similarly, Slovakia's Michal Martikán's bronze medal earned him the record of the most individual Olympic medals won in canoe-slalom.

Meanwhile, there was plenty for German equestrian star Michael Jung to celebrate after his two gold medals earned him the record for the most Olympic gold medals won by an individual on their birthday following his success in the team and individual eventing competion.
Finally, the USA men's basketball team record for the most Olympic basketball victories of all time now stands at 124 after their convicing win over Tunisia, while their female counterparts have a total of 52 total victories.
