For 20 years, Turning Stone Resort Casino has welcomed families, tourists, and other visitors to Central New York for its activities and entertainment.

Now, it can also welcome them to record-breaking ground.

In front of official Guinness World Records adjudicator Philip Robertson, 600 Turning Stone guests joined to form the largest human playing card, shown briefly above and in full below. Participants were color-coded into white and red sections before getting to their places for a minimum of five minutes. After a handful of guests were discounted for leaving the attempt area early, the remaining 600 dealt their way into history.

Their choice of card to depict? The Ace of Diamonds.

Turning Stone is located on Oneida Nation Homelands in Verona, New York, USA. The human playing card was the first-ever record attempted at the resort casino.

Oneida Nation Representative and Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter said, "Turning Stone has set a world standard in excellence, so it only makes sense that we set a world record while having fun celebrating our 20th Anniversary."

The idea to attempt a world record was created as part of Turning Stone's summer-long 20th anniversary celebrations, including special concerts, competitions, and prize giveaways.

"Everyone knows Guinness World Records is the gold standard, the platinum standard, whatever you want to call it," said Brett Stagnitti, public affairs manager for Oneida Indian Nation. "People can take a lot of pride in that and associate with that. Not many people get a chance to set a world record."
