The largest photography competition is 168,208 entries, achieved by Vereniging Wikimedia Nederland (Nederlands), at the Wiki Loves Monuments 2011 competition, from 1 July 2011 to 31 September 2011.
While the record is based on the number of entries, more than 5000 people participated from 18 different countries. The theme of the competitions was monumental buildings throughout Europe.
