In order to transport wings and other large components of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft from production centres around the world for final assembly at the company’s facility at Everett, USA, Boeing unveiled the world’s longest cargo loader on 12 June 2006. Designed by TLD of Quebec, Canada, for Boeing, it measures 35.96 m (118 ft 1 in) long and will be used in conjunction with the modified Boeing 747-400 (“Dreamlifter”) freighters.
