The line consists of 69,152 socks, which were donated by citizens of Halverde. Over 95 people were involved in creating the line, with 15 people hanging up the socks and the other participants helping them by bringing the socks. The record attempt took place as part of the celebrations commemorating Halverde's 825th birthday.
