The longest marathon playing a board game is 80 hours, achieved by Guus Peters, Marcel Rubrech, Stijn van der Horst and Max Wezenberg (all Netherlands), in Vught, Netherlands, from 3 to 6 January 2017.


The four participants have been friends since meeting at Scouting Vught Noord as children. They played a total of 400 games of Ganzenbord (Game of the goose) during the 80 hour marathon. Max was the victor overall winning 122 games.
