The largest espresso machine in the world, unveiled on 20 September 2004, was built on Discovery Channel's BIG! television show and measures 3.27 m (10 ft 9.25 in) tall, 2.48 m (8 ft 2 in) wide and 3.07 m (10 ft 1.5 in) long.
The espresso machine was unveiled at the University of Southern California campus in Los Angeles. It can hold 492 litres (108.2 gal / 130 US gal) of water and filter 32.6 kg (72 lb) of coffee in one go. It can serve 3,820 shots of double espresso.
