The most vocal edits in a single recording is 6,178 by producer Brian Transeau (USA) on his track 'Simply Being Loved (Somnambulist)', released in August 2003.
The single spent 11 weeks on the US charts and was nominated for Best Single and Best Video at the US DanceStar Awards. Transeau records under the name BT and has written numerous film scores, including The Fast And The Furious, and has produced for artists such as Peter Gabriel, Sting, Madonna, and Seal. He has had more than 10 hit singles in both the US and UK, and pioneered this technique known as 'Stutter Edit' on 'N SYNC's 2001 hit 'Pop' which featured 3,642 edits.
