The most rugby union Rugby Championship titles is 19, achieved by New Zealand in 1996–97, 1999, 2002–03, 2005–08, 2010, 2012–14, 2016–18 and 2020–22.
Originally called the Tri-Nations, the annual southern hemisphere tournament is contested by New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and (since 2012, when the competition was renamed the Rugby Championship) Argentina. The All Blacks have dominated the tournament, winning 19 of 26 editions as of 2022.
