On 27 March 2011, Nintendo unveiled the 3DS, the world's first portable 3D game player, one that does not require glasses. The 3DS has two screens; an upper 800 x 240 pixel 9 cm (3.53 in) widescreen 3D display and a lower 320 x 240 pixel 7.7 cm (3.02 in) screen. Users can increase or decrease the 3D depth perception via a slider, or can turn off the 3D capability. The player also has a dual lens 3D camera on the rear.
