The most medals won by a single country at a Winter Olympic Games is 39, achieved by Norway at the XXIII Winter Games held at Pyeongchang in South Korea on 9–25 February 2018. They won 14 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze medals in total.


Norway’s medal charge was led by cross-country skiers Marit Bjørgen – who won five medals to become the most decorated Winter Olympian in history – and Johannes Høesflot Klæbo, who won three golds.
