To introduce its new, official Toyota dealership - 'Toyota Centre Krasnoyarsk West' - Toyota Centre Krasnoyarsk (Russia) recentlly set a new world record for creating the largest car logo.

On 7 June 2014, 1,416 Toyota cars came together in Airpark Kuznetsovo, Russia, to create the giant Toyota logo – outshining the 1,215-car record that Subaru Team Russia had set two years before in Moscow.

The event offered a special perk for all the contributors to the Guinness World Records attempt, as they were given a special offer to buy a car and its service in the new dealership when it opened two weeks later.

Any Toyota car owner was given the opportunity to sign up and form part of the enormous Toyota logo formation – regardless of details such as official dealership and production year – bringing hundreds of Toyota customers together at this event.

The participants were assisted by 40 employees of the Toyota-Krepost company, who worked in the airdrome field to make sure that everyone got to their sector of the formation and were able to park.

During the event, a variety of other entertainment was provided to guests, including performances from music artists and dancers on a main stage. In addition, jet planes performed tricks in the air above the assembled crowd.

A photograph of the end result was taken from a plane in order to verify that the image qualified for the record.

Upon landing, Ilya Kangun, the managing director at Toyota Center Abakan and founder at Arctic trucks Russia (Krepost AT), said: “Thanks to all Toyota brand fans and admirers, we couldn’t have done it without you!”
