The event was in association with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and took place ahead of Global Hand Washing Day this Saturday 15 October – an annual celebration dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of hand washing when it comes to preventing diseases.

Guinness World Records judge Leila Issa attended the attempt to ensure that all of the rules were followed, such as ensuring that the mascot used the same hand for all of the high fives throughout the three minute challenge.
