Coca-Cola's bottling plant in Nogara, Italy (Coca-Cola HBC Italia) opened in 1975 – and this September the brand decided to celebrate their 40th anniversary in record-breaking style.

Opening up the huge factory to hundreds of visitors, the main event was a successful attempt to set a record for the Largest human image of a bottle.

An incredible 664 people, all dressed in the iconic coca-cola red, came together to form a spectacular depiction of the company's famous contour bottle, measuring 30m long by 8m wide.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Lucia Sinigagliesi attended the event to verify the record and present an official certificate to the cheering human bottle.

The day was a birthday celebration to remember, with fans of the soft-drinks brand leaving as excited new record holders.

The brand has utilised the thrill of record-breaking before, for example breaking the record for the Largest soda float back in 2007 with one of 13,638 litres (containing VanillaCoke and ice-cream) at the World of Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
