US paper towel brand Brawny sets record for most people wearing plaid with Atlanta Falcons fans

Last week, US paper towel brand Brawny (USA) organised a record-breaking event to celebrate its latest “Stay Giant” marketing campaign. 

With the campaign focused on the power of communities and learning to overcome life’s everyday challenges, the brand (in partnership with the Atlanta Falcons football team) chose to attempt a mass costume gathering and encourage people to wear The Brawny Man’s signature plaid.

Following a Falcons game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, an impressive 1,146 sports fans took to the field, each wearing at least two fully plaid items.

Staying in the attempt area for a minimum of five minutes, they successfully achieved a new record for the Largest gathering of people wearing plaid.

Unfortunately the Falcons lost the game, but in spite of this the guests were thrilled to leave the field as Guinness World Records title holders.
