In honour of the company’s 25th Anniversary, cellular nutrition company USANA have made a successful attempt at the world record for the Largest gathering of people dressed as scientists.
Achieved in Salt Lake City, Utah, home to USANA’s annual international convention, a whopping 893 came out sporting their science gear.
“USANA is celebrating a large milestone this year and we thought, what better way to celebrate than by attempting to break a Guinness World Records title,” said Dan Macuga, USANA’s chief communications and marketing officer. “The title of the Largest gathering of people dressed as scientistsis a perfect way to pay homage to USANA’s 25 years in science, and its founder Dr. Myron Wentz.”
For the attempt to be successful, the company needed to exceed the previous record holder’s standard of 489 participants, all while having each member wear a white lab coat, goggles, and holding a test tube or beaker.
Luckily USANA managed to nearly double the former record holder without any major difficulties on the day of the event.
Official adjudicator Andrew Glass, who was present for the attempt, said:“At Guinness World Records, we celebrate impressive achievements from around the globe. The tremendous efforts of the USANA team have resulted in a successful attempt to break the title of Largest gathering of people dressed as scientists. We congratulate and welcome them into the GWR family."
