On International Women’s Day at Palladium in Mumbai, India, cosmetics company Inglot (Poland) and Major Brands (India) entered the record books in a particularly glamorous style, achieving the title for the Most people painting their fingernails simultaneously, with an incredible 1,328 women taking part.
 
The huge group of ladies all coloured their nails using Inglot 02M nail enamels, required to do so for a minimum of five minutes in order to count towards the record total.

Official Guinness World Records adjudicator Jack Brockbank was on hand to verify the exciting mass participation attempt.
 
He announced that the group had successfully broken the previous record of 1,156 people which was achieved by members of the public at an event organised by Taiwan Nail Association at Banqiao Stadium, New Taipei City, Taiwan in April 2011.

One of the participants was renowned Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha. Following the attempt she said: “I am extremely thrilled to have been a part of this unique initiative on women’s day. Achieving a Guinness World Records title is truly commendable and I would like to thank Inglot and Major Brands for giving me the opportunity to create history along with thousands of other women.”
