To promote the outstanding engine of its new 2017 Silverado HD, Chevrolet recently set a new Guinness World Records title for Largest banner flown by a vehicle.

The event took place in Fort Worth, Texas, on the grand track of the Texas Motor Speedway.

There the well-recognized vehicle manufacturer chose the American flag to represent the ‘banner’ for the record attempt; a decision that reflects their origination in the United States.
In order to meet the requirements, the Silverado had to pull the flag a total of 100 meters without touching the ground. Chevrolet did a fantastic job exceeding that requirement, completing 4 laps around the 1.5-mile track.

Chevrolet attributes the successful attempt to the SAE-certified motor, which produces the most torque ever in a Chevy vehicle.

According to company officials, it has exceptional pulling power, especially suited for hauling heavy items, like gigantic banners.

The company created a second flag for the event namely State of Texas flag to commemorate the start of the 2016 State Fair of Texas, which was also successfully flown by the 2017 Silverado HD.
