Owner Sandy Hall brought gentle giant Gibson for a photo shoot in Sacramento for Guinness World Records Day in 2007 where he met Boo Boo, the smallest living dog (at 10.16 cm; 4 in) for a unique nose-to-nose encounter.

As well as being noted for his height, during his showbiz career Gibson wore a distinctive extra large bandanna and regularly appeared on US TV, notably The Oprah Winfrey Show and Good Morning America.

Gibson's pedigree name was Milleniums' Rockydane Gibson Meistersinger. He was born on 26 April 2002 and was the eldest of twelve puppies. After working as a therapy dog and gaining worldwide celebrity record-holder status for his extraordinary height, Gibson sadly passed away on 12 August 2008.
