Is that you, Pitbull? Thousands of fans brave bald caps in heatwave to break world record
Quite frankly, if you’re going to a Pitbull concert and NOT wearing a bald cap then what are you doing?
“Mr Worldwide” and his dedicated fanbase have officially broken a record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps after thousands of them headed to his BST Hyde Park concert in London, UK, dressed as the star.
It’s become somewhat of a tradition – and a social media craze – to don a black suit, bald cap and sunglasses when heading off to see Pitbull live.
And on Friday, a total of 22,141 people descended on the central London park dressed to impress.

The mark to beat had been 2,000.
Scenes at Hyde Park were absolutely incredible as Guinness World Records Adjudicator Will Munford looked out across a sea of shiny heads.

Fans of the American singer – real name Armando Christian Pérez – went wild in the crowd as he worked his way through his hits at the annual music festival.

Despite the beaming sun making London a real-life “Fireball”, Pitbull’s fans committed to the bit, keeping their bald caps on for the duration of the show.
Well, you know what they say – imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Adjudicator Will said: “The scenes down at Hyde Park were absolutely incredible. The excitement was palpable and the fact that so many people donned bald caps in the heatwave to break this record alongside Pitbull and BST Hyde Park is a huge testament to the power of music and the communities that fanbases can become.
“Mass participation events like this one are a brilliant way for people to get involved in record breaking, and being part of a massive cultural moment like this is always going to be special and it was a pleasure to be able to declare them all Officially Amazing!”
