Jim Arrington, the world’s oldest bodybuilder, has been flexing his muscles once again – but this time as a fashion model.
The 91-year-old record-breaking legend is just one of a handful of Guinness World Records title holders starring in fashion brand Diesel’s new campaign.
Diesel has released another batch of images from its Welcome to Successful Living campaign, so we’re taking a closer look at our stars in action.
Jim stars alongside Tami Manis, who has the world’s longest competitive mullet (female), Chanel Tapper, owner of the longest tongue (female), Aristotelis Valioretis, who holds the record for most wine glasses balanced on the head, Liberty Barros, who holds multiple contortion records, including the fastest 20 m back bend knee lock walk, Rolf Buchholz, who has the most body modifications (male) and the most piercings (male), Mariam Olayiwola, who holds numerous hula hooping records including the longest duration spinning 30 hoops simultaneously, and finally Dalibor Jablanovic, who holds the record for most spoons balanced on the face.
The campaign is themed around a TV talent show, with a host, panel of judges, and audience watching our record holders show off the thing that makes them unique.
And of course, they’re all dressed head-to-toe in items from Diesel’s spring/summer 2024 collection.
Jim is the star of multiple posts on the fashion brand’s Instagram account.
In one video clip, he introduces himself to the camera while pumping iron, flexing his muscles and flashing a big smile.
In a still image, Jim’s blue eyes dazzle as much as his pearly whites gleam as he models a Diesel watch… by showing off his guns, of course.
Jim features in another video, posing on stage as Dalibor enters covered in spoons, Aristotelis shimmies on by with a giant stack of wine glasses on his head, and Rolf offers them some encouraging applause.
In one of the new images, Aristotelis is captured in the moment that a huge stack of wine glasses has slipped off his head and is on its way to crash down on the floor.
While another is a close-up shot of Rolf which shows just some of the 453 piercings he has.
A staggering 158 of them are around his lips.
The last round of images saw Chanel’s tongue painted blue, but it’s green this time. She cheekily sticks it out while posing in an all-black outfit and holding up her very elaborate ponytail.
Chanel also appears in a video alongside Mariam showing off her hula hooping abilities, Tami posing with her extra long mullet and Liberty, who shocks the judges by folding herself in half.
