As Seen on TV: China is a brand-new video series from Guinness World Records, which showcases a selection of the most awe-inspiring, hilarious and sometimes shocking record attempts featured on Chinese television shows over recent years.
The latest episode features an exceptionally strong man who risked losing his toes in a blindfolded weight-catching challenge.
Wang Bingrong was invited to the set of CCTV - Guinness World Records Special in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, to attempt to better his own record for the Most consecutive spinning catches of a 40-kg weight – blindfolded.
With a mark of 13 to beat, the daring participant had to ensure the weight spun a full 360 degrees before being caught again.
As well as precision and bravery, the challenge also required strength, because Wang was not permitted to switch hands during the attempt.
