Lawnmowers are traditionally something you push - walking behind it while it cuts the grass outside your house.
Serial record breaker though, Ashrita Furman, has used one to help set a new record for the Farthest distance walked balancing a lawnmower on the chin (powered).
Walking a distance of 71.50 m (232ft 6.96 in) in Jamaica, New York, USA, Ashrita beat his previous record by more than 50 m with the lawnmower, placed handle down, plugged into a generator being pushed behind him.
At no point during the 2 min 13 sec walk did Ashrita's hands or arms touch the 7.5 kg lawnmower as he used his balance alone to keep it perfectly weighted on his chin.
Ashrita has also previously held the title for the Farthest distance walked balancing a lawnmower on the chin (not powered).
However his distance of 122.92 m (403.28 ft) was beaten in April 2017 at Boise High School in Boise, Idaho, USA, by David Rush who walked 200 m (656 ft 2 in) to help promote STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) education.
Ashrita does still hold the record though for the Most pint glasses balanced on the chin with 81, which were balanced for 12.10 sec in his backyard in Jamaica, New York in August 2007.
Since Noember 2016 he also holds the record for the Longest duration balancing a bicycle on the chin, managing to keep it there for 3 min 36.97 sec.
