Welcome to the Guinness World Records Italian Show – a weekly video series which features the most astonishing, shocking and awe-inspiring record attempts from the seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show dei Record.

This week sees the return of ‘Austrian Rock’ Franz Muellner, who we have already seen in an earlier instalment of Italian Show, break the record for the Longest duration restraining four motorcycles.

Here, the World’s Strongest Man competitor hopes to beat his own record for the Heaviest weight supported on the shoulders, a record which Franz has repeatedly bettered since he first set it back in 2005.

For this challenge, the strongman was aiming to lift a helicopter and structure weighing a combined total of 1,100 kg – however, this weight varies during the attempt.

With 560 kg to beat, Franz somehow manages to support a huge 650 kg during the 30 seconds.

Unfortunately the weight fell below 450 kg a number of times, which is not permitted by the Guinness World Records guidelines for the title.

Nevertheless, Franz has once again proved he is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to show-stopping feats of strength.
