Extreme acrobat Aiden Malacaria celebrated Guinness World Records Day 2017 (Thursday 9 November) with a fiery attempt in Sydney.
The performer set a brand new record for the Most fire breathing full twist backflips in one minute on the set of Aussie morning talk show Studio 10, where official adjudicator Solvej Malouf and the programme’s presenters stood watching from a safe distance!
Aiden had to achieve a minimum of eight in order to set the record, but he managed 10 sizzling twists.
Each jump had to be a complete 360° backwards flip and, whilst airborne, Aiden needed to perform a 360° lateral spin, and blow a flame, without falling – making this challenge both exhausting and risky.
However, the Aussie gymnast is an experienced professional who has been practicing his skills for a long time.
Launched to celebrate the day in 2004 when Guinness World Records became the world's bestselling copyright book, #GWRday 2017 saw thousands of people around the world attempting to secure their place in the history books.
