Alex Rodriguez, one of Major League Baseball’s iconic power hitters, has earned a well-deserved spot in the record books for his achievements in the sporting world.
Also known to his fans as “A-Rod”, the respected Dominican-American slugger has hit it out of the park with three record-breaking feats.
He has been recently honoured for earning the Most grand slam home runs in an MLB career (with an incredible 25 hits); for being the Youngest person to hit 500 home runs in an MLB career (aged 32 years, 8 days); and for hitting the Most home runs in a Major League Baseball season by a third baseman (54), which he achieved in the 2007 season while playing for the New York Yankees.
Guinness World Records caught up with Alex in Los Angeles, California - in the midst of the 2017 MLB postseason and his duties as a full-time baseball analyst for FOX Sports - to present him with his official certificates.
These record titles were earned during his remarkable 22-year career in the ball field, which includes a World Series championship win in 2009 while playing with the New York Yankees.
The three-time American League MVP also played for the Seattle Mariners, where he started his Major League Baseball career at the age of 18, and the Texas Rangers.
