Bowling enthusiast Chad McLean from the USA recently broke the record for the Most bowling balls held simultaneously with an incredible total of 13, breaking the previous record by four balls.

Chad, who works for bowling equipment company Storm Products, attempted this record with their bowling balls in Brigham City, Utah, USA.

The average bowling ball weighs around 16 lb, which means that Chad lifted around 94.3 kg (208 lb).

The rules for this tricky challenge state that the extremely heavy balls must be taken one at a time and positioned on the body. The challenger has one minute to position them and one person is allowed to help them – but they are not allowed to secure them in place.

The weighty balls must then be held for a full ten seconds without being dropped.

In his application for the record, Chad told Guinness World Records: “I plan on holding every bowling world record one day. I work at a major bowling ball manufacturer now and I also want to help bring the record home here to Utah.”
