After years of practice, 22-year-old Himanshu Gupta from India is now the official record holder for the Guinness World Records title Longest time spinning a GWR book on the finger.

Himanshu skilfully managed to keep his copy of Guinness World Records 2016 rotating on his index finger for an amazing 44 minutes and 20 seconds – but how long can you last watching his attempt?

The incredible endurance challenge took place in a café in Bangalore, India in front of members of the public. In his application for the record, Himanshu told Guinness World Records that people cheered throughout the attempt.

No easy feat, the rules for this title state that once the participant has spun the book, they must not touch the book again with any of their body, except for the single finger on which the book is balanced.

This record has come a long way since it was first set in 2009 with a time of just 2 minutes 44.66 seconds. Himanshu broke the record of 40 minutes and 8 seconds that was achieved by Andrew Wirth (USA) at The Skellig Restaurant, in Waltham, Massachusetts, USA in 2011.
