For this week’s delve into the Guinness World Records video archive we’re showing a deliciously mouth-watering classic video featuring a previous holder of the title for Largest hamburger commercially available.

With the summer in full swing, outdoor grilling is top of the list for many people’s weekend activities. But can you imagine frying up this slab of meat on your barbecue?

Back in 2008, Mallie’s Sports Grill in Southgate, Michigan set the record for the largest ever version of this American delicacy, weighing in at a whopping 74.75 kg (164.8 lbs).

Diners at the restaurant could purchase the super-sized burger for $1,800, meaning you’d need an appetite as large as your wallet to experience the history-making meal.

The massive meat feast consisted of 100% ground beef, cheese, mustard, mayo, ketchup, tomato, lettuce, onions, and pickles, sandwiched between freshly-made buns. A side of French fries was an optional, but almost certainly unnecessary supplementary option.

The current record holders for Largest hamburger commercially available are Juicys Foods and Ovations Foodservices who took the title in 2011 at Juicys Outlaw Grill restaurant.
