Michael J Stuart (USA) recently broke the record for the Highest note whistled, achieving an ear-splitting frequency of 4186 Hz (C8 standard notation) while at In Your Ear Recording Studios in Richmond, Virginia, USA.

Michael is a Nuclear Instructor by trade, but has always harboured a talent for high-pitched whistling.

How high can you whistle compared to this extraordinary record holder?

The official Guinness World Record guidelines for this attempt state that the use of fingers is permitted and it is entirely up to the challenger which technique they wish to adopt, be it blowing in or out.

However, a complete spectral analysis of the recording displaying frequency versus sound pressure level had to be submitted in order for the attempt to be verified.

Michael shattered the previous record which was achieved by Walker Harnden with a B7 (3951 Hz) (USA) at the Hood Recital Hall, University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston Salem, North Carolina, USA, in 2013.

This news comes shortly after Veteran soldier Alpaslan Durmuş (Turkey) broke the record for the Longest continuous vocal note, sustaining the sound for an astonishing 1 min 52 sec at the Kipdaş Mühendislik in Istanbul, Turkey.
