Welcome to the Guinness World Records Italian Show – a weekly video series which features the most astonishing, shocking and awe-inspiring record attempts from the seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show Dei Record.
In this week’s episode, super-flexible Julia “Zlata” Gunthel from Germany sets a record for the Most flowers picked up with the mouth in a contortion backbend in one minute, achieving a back-breaking 6.
Zlata picked up roses measuring 50 cm in length and placed them in a vase in front of her.
However, since then Zlata has gone on to better her record, accomplishing a staggering total of 11 while on the set of CCTV - Guinness World Records Special in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, China last year. On the show, Zlata went head to head with Liu Teng (China) who achieved a final total of 10.
Some scientists use the term “hypermobility” to describe unusually unrestricted joint movements, and Zlata has certainly demonstrated that she is extraordinarily flexible by setting multiple Guinness World Records titles over the years.
The Most beer bottles opened with feet in one minuteusing the contortionist elbow stand position is 8 and was achieved by Julia on the set of Rekorlar Dunyasi in Istanbul, Turkey, in 2013.
Prior to this she achieved the title Fastest time to burst three balloons with the back with a mind-boggling 12 on the set of Guinness World Records - Die Grossten Weltrekorde in Cologne, Germany, in 2007.
