Welcome to the Guinness World Records Italian Show – a weekly video series featuring the most astonishing, shocking and awe-inspiring record attempts from the recent seventh series of Italy’s Lo Show Dei Record.

Episode five sees Dominic 'The Flag Man' Lacasse (Canada) break a record for the Most chin ups in the human flag position, pulling-off an incredible 14 reps, smashing his previous total of 12 and securing a place in the Guinness World Records 2016 book.

Most chin-ups in the human flag position attempt

Clinging to a pole at a 90° angle, the award-winning gymnast and acrobat performed each chin-up consecutively, with his face passing the bar every time.

Following the attempt, Dominic performed a breathtaking routine with his artistic partner Karen Goudreault. The pair are recognised worldwide for their mastery of the challenging human flag technique.

However, Dominic’s strength record has recently been broken by Zheng Daxuan (China), who completed a mind-blowing 25 chin-ups on the set of CCTV - Guinness World Records Special in Beijing, China.

Lacasse once also laid claim to the Longest duration to maintain a human flag, although since 15 Aug 2011 that title has been held by Wang Zhonghua (CHN), who hung horizontally for an agonizing 1 min 5.71 sec.
