No strangers to setting new records on GWR Day, illustrious exhibition basketball team, the Harlem Globetrotters have come back again to smash even more records for this year's celebrations.

Taking place in AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas, the basketball stars stood in their iconic uniforms on the court, ready to take on the challenge of making even more basketball history.

This time, the famous Globetrotters beat two of the records they set last year; while also reclaiming four of athletic YouTube sensations Dude Perfect’s incredible basketball titles.

Big Easy Lofton got things off to a title-taking start to set a new benchmark for Farthest basketball hook shot, with a stunning slingshot score from 22.10 meters (72 ft 6.25 in).

Zeus McClurkin followed Big Easy's heroics by setting a new record for Most basketball slam dunks in one minute (individual) with an impressive 16.

Determined to make an extravagant performance for GWR Day, the Globetrotters continued setting the bar for basketball records throughout the day.

Cheese Chisholm and Ant Atkinson showed precision and speed to regain the title for Most three pointers made by a pair in one minute, by notching up 22 shots from distance.

Thunder Law continued the team’s successful achievements after completing the Farthest basketball shot made while sitting on the court with an outstanding distance of 17.91 meters (58 ft 2.5 in.).

Ant Atkinson was on fire for the team’s day of record breaking. He scored another title, for the Most basketball three pointers made in one minute (single ball) with a total of 10, with his teammate Cheese Chisholm managing the same score meaning both players now share the title.

Ant later completed the Longest basketball shot blindfolded, shooting an amazing 22.50 meters (73 ft. 10 in) from the basket.

Zeus continued his record breaking streak as he completed the Most bounced basketball three pointers in one minute, making five successful shots by springing the ball.

The team thought that making the Longest basketball hook shot could be more challenging, thus, Big Easy Lofton stepped up again to try the record blindfolded, and attained the title for Longest blindfolded basketball hook shot at a remarkable expanse of 17.74 meters (58 ft 2.5 in).

Thunder Law ended the day with one of the most difficult record attempts, shooting the ball a record-breaking 15.98 meters (52 ft. 5.5 in) with his body contorted to earn the title Farthest basketball shot under one leg.

In total, five members of the team received a Guinness World Records title for their sharp shooting skills, and were all presented certificates by official adjudicator Michael Furnari.

A big congratulations to the team on their continuous record-breaking talent. For more updates on GWR Day, follow us on Snapchat to see our official and global GWR Day story.
