The J W Marriott Marquis Dubai in UAE, is the world’s tallest hotel, standing at 355.35 m (1,165.84 ft) from ground level to the top of its mast.
Formerly known as Emirates Park Towers Hotel & Spa, , the hotel consists of two 77-floor twin towers, with the first tower having opened on 11 November 2012.
With 1,608 rooms and offering over 8,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor event space, (tower 1 alone has an incredible 806 rooms), and over 8,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor event space, the 5-Star accommodation also boasts four Presidential suites, a banquet hall, an auditorium, 18 Shops, 19 Restaurants and a spa.
Designed by architect Ashok Korgaonkar, the two top floors are occupied by Vault, one of the hotel’s 15 lounge bars and restaurants and a swimming pool can be found on the mezzanine level between floors 6 and 7.
The landmark building beat the previous world record set by the nearby 1,093 feet Rose Tower, another huge construction that also stands tall in Dubai’s incredible skyline.
