A record setting audience of 70,252 country music fans were in attendance at the AT&T Stadium in Texas to see Miranda Lambert her own piece of music history last night.

The event, which set a new Guinness World Records title for Most Attended Awards Show, was dominated by Lambert who took home the Female Vocalist of the Year title for the sixth time in a row, a feat which saw her set a world record for the most consecutive wins of the award.

Lambert also picked up awards on the night for Single Record of the Year (“Mama’s Broken Heart”) and Vocal Event of the Year, together with Keith Urban, for “We Were Us.”  
 
While he missed out on the night to Jason Aldean for Male Vocalist of the Year, Brad Paisley was also recognized prior to the event by Guinness World Records for the most consecutive wins of the award for a winning streak which saw him take the title every year between 2006 and 2010.

Other acts recognized by Guinness World Records at this year’s event for ACM achievements included Brooks & Dunn (Most wins as ACM Vocal Duo of the Year  and Most consecutive wins as ACM Vocal Duo of the Year), Rascal Flatts (Most wins as ACM Vocal Group of the Year, Most consecutive wins as ACM Vocal Group of the Year) and Alabama (  Most consecutive wins as ACM Entertainer of the Year).
 
Meanwhile, truckers across the US and Canada helped the Ram Truck brand set a new Guinness World Records title for the largest parade of pickup trucks in the build-up to the Awards, with 451 trucks taking part in the “Ram Truck Round-up”.
 
Named as the “Official Truck” of the Academy of Country Music Awards, Ram had invited its customers to help break the previous record of 438 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the ACM Awards.
 
The Ram Truck Round-up parade route, which also set a record for Largest parade of Ram vehicles, started on Saturday at the east side of AT&T Stadium in Arlington and travelled approximately 3.2 miles around the stadium and neighbouring Globe Life Park grounds.
