Hot on the heels of Han Yue’s spectacular tightest car parallel parking world record in November,  comes the news that former title holder Alastair Moffatt may have won back his title.

The Gloucestershire stunt driver, who has held the record on two occasions previously, is said to have slide his way into a gap measuring just 7.5cm longer than the Fiat 500C 1.2 Cult he was driving.

Alastair’s latest attempt took place at the Autosport Show at the Birmingham NEC on Friday, footage of which you can watch in the player below.

Guinness World Records is currently awaiting further evidence from Alastair’s attempt in order to verify if has indeed beaten Han Yue’s benchmark of 8cm.

Stay tuned to guinnessworldrecords.com to see if Alastair has indeed managed to shave off in what has become one of our most hotly contested records.

In the meantime, check the video  below from back in 2013, when both Alastair and his equally skilled behind the wheel brother John set the record during filming for the Officially Amazing TV show.
