The new Guinness World Records 2015 book will soon be available in shops and stores around the world.

Ahead of its release, in the video below Editor-In Chief Craig Glenday gives a unique insiders look,as the latest edition of the world’s best-selling annual publication rolls off the he presses at our printers in Gütersloh, Germany

Printed on recyclable, forest-certified paper, this year's book run required a grand total of 66 tonnes of ink (the weight of more than six killer whales) , 17 tonnes of glue to bind (the weight of 265 fully-grown men or 350 14-year-olds) and 76 Km of ribbon for the head and tail bands (the length of 3,190 tennis courts).

Finished books will weigh over 3,079 tonnes (about the same as the Space Shuttle at take off or 12 Statues of Liberty) and would make a single pile of books over 52.7 Kms high (95 times the height of the CN Tower, or six Mount Everests).

If all of the books were laid on the ground head to tail, they would stretch 818 Km (twice the length of the entire London Underground network, or from London to the Orkney Isles)
