When it comes time to break a record for duck calling, you better call the Robertsons.

That's exactly what The Salvation Army did recently, calling on the famous Duck Dynasty clan to help lead the way at its record-breaking fundraiser, named "The Call: Faith, Family & Facial Hair."

In attendance were stars of the reality show Willie and Korie; Jase, Missy, and their three children; and the famous Uncle Si. They took the stage at Florida's Germain Arena in Estero and led a crowd of 3,028 participants in the most people duck calling simultaneously.

The mass duck call highlighted a night featuring group prayer, some duck-calling demonstrations from the cast, and musical performances from bands like transMission, The Farm, and Switchfoot.

Participants were all given "Duck Commander" duck calls, which is the brand that made the family famous and is featured heavily on their program.

Coincidentally, the official Guinness World Records adjudicator on hand to verify the count was named Phil Robertson, identically to the Duck Dynasty patriarch who was not in attendance for the attempt. The two are unrelated.

The funds raised were allocated to fighting hunger and homelessness in the Southwest Florida area. Of every dollar raised, 90 cents was donated to meet The Salvation Army's goals.

The duck call lasted a minimum of one minute, as required by the record guidelines. In the end, those in attendance doubled the required time, sending real-life ducks nearby into a 2-minute-long tizzy.
