Guinness World Records - Officially Amazing

Fan Choice: April 4 - Vote now!

Talk about savoring a win. Victory never tasted so good as the largest brownie took 53.96% of your votes in last week's Fan Choice to secure a resounding win in our third week of competition. Its nearest competitor secured just 21.65% of the tally.

Every Friday here, we'll pick five records recently approved by our expert Records Management Team. We'll give you a little background info on each and then ask you to vote for your favorite. The winners from each week will be entered into an end-of-year bracket to determine the Fan Choice record of the year.

This week features a mass shower to which you should definitely bring sandals and a dual between two lenghty sushi and chocolate salami rolls. But first, gentlemen, start your engine.

Record: 12.33 km (7.66 miles)

Holder: Daniel Adams and Jaxon Luttrell (both USA)

Location: Stansbury Island, Utah, USA

That's not all: Adams already held the record for his 27.18 km-long (16.89 miles) individual ATV side wheelie, but didn't settle for that, choosing to have his 13-year-old nephew Luttrell on the back for this tandem attempt. In both the individual and tandem records, Adams surpassed marks previously held by extreme sports legend and MTV personality Travis Pastrana.

Fan Choice sushi.jpg

Record: 2,521.74 m (8,273 ft 4.92 in)

Holder: Sushkof Restaurant (Russia)

Location: Mega Shopping Mall in Yekaterinburg, Russia

That's not all: Um, that's more than a mile of sushi. This particular roll consisted of rice, cucumbers, and sesame seeds, taken from the Sushkof menu. It took 65 people more than 15 hours to complete the roll, which was then distributed to the public. Not only was the length impressive; the final roll weighed more than 2,000 kg (4,409 lb)!

Fan Choice shower.jpg

Record: 263

Holder: SingTel mio TV (Singapore)

Location: Siloso Beach, Sentosa, Singapore

That's not all: These participants definitely needed the shower, because it was hosted as the post-event activity for those who ran the "Race The Dead," a 5K obstacle course zombie chase. Definitely sounds like showers were needed after that.

Fan Choice choc salami.jpg

Record: 76.20 m (249 ft 11.99 in)

Holder: Consorzio Cavalesemozione (Italy)

Location: Cavalese, Trento, Italy

That's not all: In this, another amazing food record, the final "salami" used 60 kg (132 lb) of sugar and 80 kg (176 lb) of butter, requiring 76 minutes to cook. In addition to its record-breaking length, this creation weighed 302 kg (665.8 lb) and owned a diameter of 7 cm (2.75 in).

Record: 100.85 m (330 ft 10 in) in diameter

Holder: TD Presmec Dolge Njive (Slovenia)

Location: Volicina, Slovenia

That's not all: Never too early to get in the Christmas spirit, is it? This wreath was made of pine, cypress and grape vine, among other components. It was then decorated with electric lights and hand-made cards from local school children. In total, the wreath's circumference was 316.82 m (1,039 ft 5 in) and weighed approximately 13.5 tonnes.
