Thanks to its iconic characters, more than 30 years in arcades around the world, and the popularity of the 2007 documentary "King of Kong: Fistful of Quarters," the 1981 classic Donkey Kong has rightfully gained a place as one of the most famous arcade games ever.

"King of Kong" pulled the curtain back on the competitive world of the Donkey Kong high score, the holy grail of video gaming records.

The current record holder wasn't featured in the movie because, well, he hadn't even played the game for the first time yet. But Hank Chien has made up for lost time. Since first breaking the record in March 2010, Chien lost and regained it in February 2011, having since broken his own record - twice.

In anticipation of the Guinness World Records 2014 Gamer's Edition, we sat down with Chien to learn more about the reigning King of Kong. Watch to find out what trouble Hank's first million-point game almost got him in, how he maintains a steady girlfriend in the world of gaming, and how exactly one gets a full-sized Donkey Kong arcade machine into a Manhattan apartment.
