We asked and you voted, saying "Lean on me!" to last week's Fan Choice nominees, with the largest piggyback race collecting nearly 43% of the vote to capture the top spot.

Congratulations to Scouts Australia and the 1,274 people who took part in making history either supporting the load or draped over someone else's back!

This achievement will now be entered in our list of contenders for a year-end showdown in which we'll ask you fans to vote for your favorite record of the year at the end of 2013.

Largest barefoot race (pictured above)

Record: 529 racers

Holder: MSSL Mideast (UAE)

Location: SAIF-Zone, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

That's not all: In one of the most ambitious days in recent memory, MSSL Mideast broke three other records in addition to the largest barefoot race on the same day: most people wearing paper hats, largest hopping race, and longest high five chain.

Largest gathering of people dressed as video game characters

Record: 470 heroes, villains, and creatures

Holder: Academy of Interactive Entertainment (Australia)

Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

That's not all: The Academy of Interactive Entertainment was founded in 1996 and has since grown to include five campuses across Australia and the U.S., offering degrees in video game programming and 3D animation.

Greatest distance on a windsurfer in 24 hours (flat water)

Record: 509.82 km (275.28 nautical miles; 316.79 miles)

Holder: Dennis Klaaijsen (Netherlands)

Location: Veerse Lake, Kamperland, Netherlands

That's not all: Klaaijsen maintained an average speed of 11.47 knots per hour. The Dutchman began windsurfing at age 7 and has amassed more than 30 years in the sport.

Longest marathon bartending

Record: 111 hours

Holder: Ruth Brands (Belgium)

Location: Café Het Gildenhuis, Opglabbeek, Belgium

That's not all: Brands' effort helped raise €12,111 (£10,277.50, $15,544.46) for "To Walk Again," a local disabled children's charity. She served an average of more than 200 customers per day during the marathon.

Largest frikadelle

Record: 690 kg (1,521 lb 3 oz)

Holder: TSV Ringstedt e.V. and Fleischerei Riggers GmbH (both Germany)

Location: Ringstedt, Germany

That's not all: Frikadelle are a thick meat patty or flattened meatball made from minced meat, bread, and spices. This record-setting one boasted a diameter of 2 meters (6 feet, 6 inches) and was made to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of a local Ringstedt sport club.
