Yokohama, Japan became home to the world's largest ukulele ensemble last week when a record 2,134 people strummed a song on their ukeleles.

The ensemble played "Aloha Mahalo a Hui Ho", a song written by former sumo wrestler Konishiki.

Konishiki joined the event on stage, and was counted as one of the participants.

The record attempt was part of Ukulele Picnic Week, which also featured hula dancing.

Previously, the record for the largest ukulele ensemble consisted of 1,547 participants during an event in Helsingborg, Sweden last year.
