In "to-die-for" style, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom in Pennsylvania, USA, recently set a new record for most costumed riders on a theme park ride.

On August 18 at sunset, official Guinness World Records™ adjudicator Danny Girton Jr. verified 330 park visitors in full 'zombie' costume enjoyed a full-speed ride on the amusement park's 'Steel Force' roller coaster train.

To be counted as part of the record, the zombies had to meet two criteria: face make-up had to include at least three colours, and they had to be wearing themed garments such as torn shirts, pants and dresses.

The event marked the halfway point in the Cedar Fair Entertainment Company and Guinness World Records Summer 2011 partnership, and was incorporated into Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom's 'Zombie Invasion' special event to promote the park's annual Halloween Haunt program.

Recently, Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom expanded to 13 its 'haunted attraction' experiences, since the property's 1997 'HalloWeekend' Halloween-themed program creation.

Reportedly, 'Steel Force' measures 1.6 km (5,600 ft.) in length, and is capable of speeds up to 121 km/hour (75 miles/hour).
