GWR DAY - UK - SCOTLAND
A Short Walk
Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday battled his way through over 60 hours of storms, fallen trees and landslides – and found himself on various planes, trains and automobiles – to reach the remote Scottish coastal town of Wick. Here, during a lull in the torrential rain, he managed to measure the length of Ebenezer Place, a tiny little street with just one doorway. Luckily for Craig, the doorway led to a pub, where he celebrated with the locals on having, indeed, the world’s shortest street – it measured just 205 cm (6ft 9in) long.
