What do a TV Gladiator, an Argentinean footballer, a Mongolian giant and a shipwrecked hairdresser have in common? They were among the Guinness World Record holders demonstrating their skills at the Gallerian shopping mall in the centre of Stockholm. Shoppers were given a real treat as they witnessed Gladiator Amber host a series of successful record attempts, including Longest hair extensions, Longest skateboard wheelie, Most footballs juggled, Longest football control while lying down, and Most yo-yos spun simultaneously. The biggest crowd of the day, though, was for Xi Shun Bao, the world’s tallest man, who spent the day shopping for shoes (without success) and signing copies of the new Guinness World Records book.
The following records were broken on the day:
- Longest hair extension: 1.36 m by Mirres
- Most footballs juggled: 5 by Victor Rubilar
- Longest time football spun of forehead by an individula: 19.96 sec by Victor Rubilar
- Most rolls of football across forehead: 42 by Victor Rubilar
- Most yo-yos spinning simultaneously: 9 by Eric Lindeen
- Breakdancing - most consecutive 6-step routines: 501 in time of 28 min 17 sec by Jonas Gothberg
- Longest one wheel manual wheelie on skateboard: 39 m by Stefan Akesson
- Longest duration to control football lying down: 9 min 57 sec by Tomas Lundman
